In the course of his career spanning over two decades, Larry has specialized in personal injury law within various firms.  Having commenced his career in Northern Michigan, he subsequently relocated to the metropolitan Detroit area eighteen years ago, where he continued to refine his expertise at a prominent personal injury firm.  His professional journey led to an affiliation with Michigan Biker Law and its founder, Jerald Aaron.  In 2021, he acquired ownership of Michigan Biker Law.  Larry serves clients from all corners of Michigan, encompassing both the Lower and Upper Peninsulas.  Licensed to practice in all Michigan state and federal courts, Ohio state and federal courts, as well as the Supreme Court of the United States, he also holds membership in the state’s preeminent trial lawyer organization, the Michigan Association of Justice.  Larry is committed to upholding Michigan Biker Law's enduring legacy of fervently advocating for clients through specialized legal representation, and is deeply dedicated to supporting the biker community. 

When he's not standing up for his fellow bikers, you'll find Larry enjoying quality time with his wife and sons. Whether he's out hunting, fishing, traveling, coaching his youngest son's soccer team, or cruising down the open road, Larry is a passionate outdoorsman.  Acquiring a law firm dedicated to specializing in motorcycle law was a natural choice for Larry. He's been riding bikes since he was a young child, alongside his father, and he's been endorsed for over 20 years.

Shana Maitland

Office Manager

After enjoying a lengthy and successful career in real estate, during which she established and managed her own brokerage, Shana was called to switched gears and embark on a new adventure with the MBL team.

Shana, born and raised in Northern Michigan, is an enthusiastic outdoorswoman who spent her early years sailing the Great Lakes, snowmobiling, fishing, hunting, and four-wheeling.  It's no surprise that when she began riding, it felt like second nature.  Shana is a devoted mom of two boys, a loving wife to an incredible travel partner, and an all-around adventurer.  During her free time, you'll find her exploring new places, enjoying the lake, volunteering, or riding anywhere she can just to feel the wind on her face.

With deep family ties to the military, Shana has a strong connection to the military community.  Several of her family members, spanning generations, have served our country. With a great-uncle still missing in action, others lost in battle, and several veterans, Shana knows firsthand the impact of military service on soldiers and their families. Shana is an active member of the Amvets Ladies Auxiliary, volunteers her time for various causes, and works hard to ensure that our veterans are honored and supported.

Connie, a proud West Virginia native, developed her passion for the open road while riding with her father.  As an integral part of Michigan's biker community for over a decade, she has cultivated enduring friendships and embarked on countless unforgettable adventures.

During her leisure time, Connie revels in exploring the scenic wonders of her state while riding alongside her husband, Mike.  Alongside her love for riding, she devotes herself to the noble cause of volunteering for various veteran organizations in the state.

With over a decade of marketing experience, Connie has finely tuned her skills in strategy, branding, and promotional campaigns.  She firmly believes that life's journey is all about the ride, the connections, and the opportunities to make a difference, and Connie fully embraces every moment along the way.

Laurie

Senior Paralegal

Laurie Ann Kies is a senior paralegal at Michigan Biker Law, specializing in assisting injured victims of motorcycle and automobile accidents.  With 36 years of experience, she possesses extensive knowledge of Michigan No-Fault Benefit Claims and has delivered lectures at medical provider seminars.  Laurie has also presented information on IME/DME examinations for the Michigan Attorneys for Justice and is an active member of MAJ’s Paralegal division.  She pursued her education at Madonna University in Livonia, Michigan, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in English and Psychology before completing post-graduate studies in Written Communications and Professional Technical Writing at Eastern Michigan University. Throughout her career, Laurie has dedicated her expertise exclusively to plaintiff personal injury attorneys.

Beyond her professional pursuits, Laurie is married to a United States Army Veteran, nurse, and seasoned motorcyclist, and they have one adult son.  Her reputation and knowledge are highly valued within both the medical provider and insurance industries in Michigan.  She is committed to aggressively securing all no-fault benefits owed to her clients."
